Our selections

Building on the collaboration initiated in 2024, Que du Feu and La Fête du Clip are joining the Villeurbanne Short Film Festival.

These three events dedicated to short films and emerging cinema in the Lyon metropolitan area are joining forces to offer an expanded edition of the Villeurbanne Short Film Festival, which will take place from November 8 to 15 at Le Zola Cinema.

The upcoming edition will feature an enhanced program, open to music videos and emerging talent, across five competitions:

  • International Competition

  • Animation Competition

  • Que du Feu – Courts Circuits Competition – self-produced films

  • Que du Feu – Courts d’École Competition – films made within higher education programs in audiovisual and cinema

  • Fête du Clip Competition – emerging music videos

Courts Circuits

Self-produced short films

Call open from April 13 to July 13

Maximum duration: 40 minutes (including credits)

Completed after January 1, 2025

Films produced independently (self-produced)

Courts d’École

Student short films

Call open from April 13 to July 13

Maximum duration: 40 minutes (including credits)

Completed after January 1, 2025

Film produced as part of a film or audiovisual school/training program

Call open from April 13 to July 13

Maximum duration: 10 minutes (including credits)

Participation fees

The call for projects is open from April 13 at 00:01 to July 13, 2026 at 23:59, under the following fee structure:

  • April 13–27 (Early Bird period): €3 per film

  • April 28–June 29: €5 per film

  • June 30–July 13 (late submissions): €7 per film

The festival management may offer adjusted participation fees for organizations (distribution companies, schools) wishing to submit multiple works.
